Frequently Asked Questions

Living, working and leisure - that's at the heart of the "Lyoner Quartier". Have a look at the area map to find out what this modern business and residential district has to offer you.

Some 4,000 new apartments for approximately 10,000 people will be built in the years to come. You can find an overview list on the page Living in Niederrad.

The former Niederrad office district is currently undergoing a transformation. Office buildings such as the Access Tower have already been modernised and optimised for maximum energy efficiency. Other office buildings have this in store for them. Office buildings such as Lyonerstrasse 19 or "Green Six", the green building owned by Mercurius Real Estate AG in Hahnstrasse 72, have been successfully converted into residential blocks. The transformation of the office tower into rental apartments in Lyoner Straße 40 (GWH Wohnungsgesellschaft) has already started. Other office blocks have been demolished.
This means that the marketable vacancy rate in Niederrad office district is currently around four percent. This is an excellent figure compared with 9,5 percent for Frankfurt as a whole.
